Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Valley enjoyed a fabulous Christmas treat this week going to see Sleeping Beauty on Ice. It was an incredible performance and three of our Year 5 pupils even starred in it. We all had a fabulous time.
An added bonus was that we had the privilege of chatting to the Mayor during the interval. He praised Valley children highly complimenting then on their fabulous behaviour and enthusiasm when they chatted to him.
We were very proud of all our children and we all had a fabulous afternoon.
We are inviting pupils to apply to become a pupil leader as part of the Eco Warriors team. Please see separate letter for details and complete your posters over the holidays if you are interested.
Thank you to our children who presented this idea in assembly this week and helped us understand what the team would focus on moving forward.

On Saturday, we held our KS2 drop is session at Hobs Moat Library. It was fabulous to see the children and their families enjoying the library’s facilities. Children selected books to read for pleasure and to support their topics at school. It was also lovely to see some of our KS1 children returning their books and selecting new ones. We hope you enjoy reading your new books.
If you missed our drop in sessions but would still like to join the library, the librarians are happy to help you during normal opening hours.
Thank you most sincerely to our PTFA team who organised our Christmas Fayre this week. Thank you also to everybody who attended and enjoyed the Fayre; spent hours taking time from work to setup the stalls, grotto, games, the wine and water table; the performances from our super talented Valley Children; the mini-PTFA army who have been sourcing and collecting raffle prizes, organising the tombola, advertising the raffle/fayre, making Christmas decorations and themed items. Thank you to everyone who donated bottles for wine and water and organised these and finally, thank you to Father Christmas for taking time out of his busy calendar to visit Valley this week. It was a truly wonderful Christmas Fayre! Thank you for all your generosity.
It was wonderful to see so many infant children at the drop in session at Hobs Moat Library. We hope you enjoy reading your new books. The librarians have asked us to remind you that children’s books are now subject to fines for late returns. To avoid this, please return books by the given date. Alternatively, books can be renewed at the library, online or by telephone. We look forward to seeing our junior children at their drop in session on December 7th from 10-12. All children will need to be accompanied by a parent and if they wish to join the library parents will need to bring ID that includes their address.
Valley proudly took part in a local cheerleading festival enjoying sharing our routine with the judges. The children received lots of praise on both their conduct and their skills. Thank you to all our Key Stage Two children who took part.
