KEY WORKER SCHOOL MOMENTS WE ARE PARTICULARLY PROUD OF!
Valley's Positivity Rock Line
Today we all observed the minute silence to remember key workers and carers who had been poorly or lost their lives. We ended with a clap for our key workers. We then thought about our rainbows and shared our hopes and dreams for after this pandemic. We talked about seeing our friends again, hugging Nannas and Grandads, going to concerts, playing a netball match and watching football on the television. Well done children, immensely proud of how reflective you were.
Thank you to all our key workers!

Chair of Governors House Point Names Competition... Thank you to Miss Clark, our Chair of Governors for organising our House Point names competition. The winning names are: Amazon Rainforest (Green), Grand Canyon (Red), Great Barrier Reef (Blue) All three are natural wonders of the earth. Valley Primary teaches us to be generous and caring to the environment and so it is lovely to have chosen some landmarks that need care as our house point names. Well done to everybody who participated and entered some names, Miss Clark gave these children a certificate and small gift in assembly. Our winner was Evelyn from 3P who came up with this wonderful suggestion of names. A huge well done and thank you Evelyn!

We did lots of activities as part of Anti Bullying week to help us to understand what bullying is and how we can help to prevent it from happening. Valley Primary is an Anti Bullying school, we always say no to bullying of any description. We wore odd socks to show that everybody was different and celebrate this, noting that differences were never a reason to be unkind or bully anybody
Remembrance - The Last Post
Remembrance Day - We reflect in Silence
At 11am on the 11th Day of the 11th Month, we remember all those who fought for our country. Our children stood in silence following the last post which Mr Hilditch kindly played for us. It was a very moving moment seeing our children so reflective.

A note from Aun and Tanvi, two of our talented Year 6 mathmaticians...
We were chosen to go to a maths workshop at Greswold school. There were 10 other schools there too.
We aspired to work with children from different schools and to achieve our full potential. It was great fun working as a team and representing our school. We took part in lots of activities like finding the most complicated way to make 182 using addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
We learned not to take the easy way out! We tried our best and challenged ourselves to be the best that we can be.
