Dinosaur wow day! A time machine has landed in the classrooms with some baby dinosaur eggs! The mummy dinosaur has escaped the time machine, looking for her eggs. We are making wanted/missing dinosaur posters so keep an eye out for the triceratops everyone! We want to get her back to her eggs as soon as possible. Dinosaur detectives at the ready! We have also made fossils out of salt dough, researched all about the triceratops- We found out she is a herbivore so we are collecting leaves to make a trail back to the time machine as well as looking for other clues.

Inspire Workshop - Nursery had a wonderful time enjoying learning with their parents,
This week Nursery had a lovely visit from our Community Police Officers. They talked to us about road safety. Afterwards, the children practised their road safety skills using the bikes and scooters in our outside area and also created lots of shape pictures.
Firefighter Visit - Nursery thoroughly enjoyed their visit from Mr Turner and other fire fighters today!
A wonderful Reception Production - the children performed confidently and with pride, each having a special moment. Well done everybody!
Some of our Reception children reflected on our school vision when they were thinking about our learning powers during superhero day!
Bedtime Stories
We enjoy Reading for Pleasure and Listening to Stories for pleasure. A key part of this is sharing bedtime stories. We hosted a bedtime story session for children at school this week, the children came back to school in their pyjamas and dressing gowns with their teddy bears and shared hot chocolate and cookies whilst listening to a story before bed. It was a wonderful experience for the children.

In our continuous provision we do different activities each week. These have included measuring monster footprints, painting monsters- exploring colour mixing, making horrible meals for our monster cafe, writing menus, Noah has written his own monster story, we have a monster reading area and we've been using our fine motor skills to build walls to stop the monsters getting in our bedrooms! We also have been re telling the story of 'bedtime for monsters' in our new small world area.
