‘Growing and learning together to be the best we can be’

Parent Representatives

We have introduced the parent representative role with the aim of improving and developing parent partnerships. These roles were set up following parent feedback which highlighted that it would be beneficial to have a parent to represent each year group and work in partnership with us to share your ideas.

If you have any comments or suggestions to share, please get in touch with your parent representative using the email address below.

Their main responsibilities include:

  • Regularly attending Headteacher drop ins to present any views
  • Gather and present the school with feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Work in partnership with the parent liaison lead discussing any themes or discussion areas the school need to be aware of
  • Ensuring that parents understand the process to follow should they have a concern, query or complaint regarding an individual situation
  • Develop future communication paths.

This Years Parent Representatives are:

Hello! I’m Shaun, the new parent rep for nursery. My daughter, Laurie, is in Starley class and she lives at home with mummy, daddy and her baby brother, Ellis.
We live in Elmdon, off Lode Lane, and I am a self-employed PR consultant, which involves lots of writing and trying to get my clients exposure in the local, regional and national media. I enjoy to travel, spend time with friends and family, and exercise regularly to offset a love for food and drink.
I volunteered to be a parent rep because I want to contribute positively to the school and help build on the excellent relationship between Valley and its parents. I am looking forward to articulating feedback on behalf of nursery parents in a way that is constructive.
