‘Growing and learning together to be the best we can be’

Parent Representatives

We have introduced the parent representative role with the aim of improving and developing parent partnerships. These roles were set up following parent feedback which highlighted that it would be beneficial to have a parent to represent each year group and work in partnership with us to share your ideas.

If you have any comments or suggestions to share, please get in touch with your parent representative using the email address below.

Their main responsibilities include:

  • Regularly attending Headteacher drop ins to present any views
  • Gather and present the school with feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Work in partnership with the parent liaison lead discussing any themes or discussion areas the school need to be aware of
  • Ensuring that parents understand the process to follow should they have a concern, query or complaint regarding an individual situation
  • Develop future communication paths.

This Years Parent Representatives are:

ARC

I'm Denise,  I'm really looking forward to being the class representative for all the children who attend the additionally resourced speech and language provision within Valley primary school. My daughter is in year 3 and joined the school in yr 1 and has come so far since starting the arc. I live with my husband and 2 children in Shirley,  like lots of children who attend the ARC we don't live locally which makes for an interesting school run especially when we have come on our joint bike recently. I work as an Othotist. I work privately making specialist helmets for babies with flat heads and also attend local specialist schools providing splints (orthoses) to aid walking and mobility.  I'm really pleased to be your parent representative and look forward to working together with parents and school to make the best environment for our children. Please email me with your thoughts and Ideas vpsarcparent@gmail.com.
