Valley Primary School

‘Growing and learning together to be the best we can be’

Online Safety

At Valley we encourage all our school community to always be careful when using the internet.

The internet is a great learning resource and can help everybody to keep in touch with friends and family – but it can also cause harm – to children, families and others online.

Remember help us available at school …

Help is always available at school if you are having any problems online.

Don’t be afraid to talk to your teacher or another adult at school.

Remember help is available outside of school too …

If you or anyone you know is worried about Child Exploitation, Online Protection or anything related to Internet safety please click the link below which will take you to the CEOP reporting website:

Please see links below which direct you to guidance for parents and children at age appropriate levels.

Key tips to stay safe online:

  • Make sure you keep the information you share with new online friends minimal. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend, it is important an adult knows about it and you pursue this with care and caution.
  • Know how to use the CEOP Button and how to report it to the CEOP Centre if you are concerned about someone’s online behaviour towards you.
  • Don’t share personal details about yourself online and always talk to an adult and ask for help if you are worried.
