  Dear Parents/Carers,

   

  I am writing to inform you that I have made the very difficult decision to retire at the end of this academic year. t has been a difficult decision that I have been thinking of and discussing with my family for a number of months; I have experienced a full range of emotions, but I am now excited about the future.

   

  I have thoroughly enjoyed my 40 plus years of teaching and leading in Solihull and during this time

  I have been very lucky to meet and work with such wonderful people, not least the Valley team including pupils, staff, parents and families.

   

  There have been a number of highlights over the past 40 years, so many to recount, with one of my proudest moments when I was awarded my MBE, which I was so very proud to accept.

   

  I will miss so much about the school – your wonderful children who engage me every day with their amazing contributions, good humour and achievements; you, the parents who have been so supportive of our developments, and of course my outstanding Staff and Governing body.

  This half term, Times Tables Rock Stars will launch in Year 2,   KS1 and KS2 are holding SAT's meetings for parents, Year2 will be enjoying a Bhangra Active Workshop, Nursery will be hosting an inspire workshop and Reception will be welcoming the Science Dome.
