Year 1 had a fantastic start to their new topic 'Towers and Turrets' by visiting Tamworth Castle. The children took part in workshops which involved meeting the lady of the castle to help set up for a banquet and also putting together the armour of a squire. The children also enjoyed exploring the castle and naming the different features including the dungeons! We had great fun climbing to the top of the tower and exploring the clothes of the past. We cannot wait to find out more about our new exciting topic!
