We have spent this week starting out new topic – Amazing Amazonia! In Simmonds class, we have used atlases to learn about South America:  the countries, capital cities and the Amazon Rainforest.  We used the iPads to research animals that live in the rainforest and then learnt all about sewing techniques.  Designing our stuffed toys was fun, and we worked hard to create them using the various materials available to us.  We needed to make sure it was a safe and durable toy for our target audience.
