In Reception, we have been working incredibly hard in our phonics lessons during this very warm week! We have been reading books with our partners, taking turns being the teacher and the reader. As the teacher, we point to each word and offer support; as the reader, we use our phonics skills to decode each word. We use 'Fred Talk' and 'Fred in our head'. We even had the chance to practise our speedy reading, which is an incredibly important skill for becoming a fluent reader. Well done Reception!
